Financial Assistance

At ULI, we understand that financing your education is a significant consideration. While financial aid options vary based on your residency status, we are committed to providing guidance and resources to help you navigate available opportunities.

For Domestic Students

StudentAid BC offers financial assistance to eligible students enrolled in full-time or part-time programs at designated post-secondary institutions in British Columbia. To qualify, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have protected person status.

  • Be a resident of British Columbia.

  • Be enrolled in an eligible program of study at an eligible institution.

  • Demonstrate financial need.

For detailed information on eligibility and to apply, visit the StudentAid BC website.

For International Students

While international students may not be eligible for government-funded financial aid, several options are available to assist with educational expenses:

  • ULI Payment Plan: ULI offers a flexible Payment Plan option to help manage your tuition fees more conveniently. With this plan, you can pay your tuition in monthly installments instead of a lump sum payment. To enroll in the ULI Payment Plan or learn more about payment options, please contact ULI’s Admissions team.

  • Off-Campus Employment: International students with a valid study permit may work up to 24 hours per week during academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks. Off-campus jobs can provide additional financial support and valuable work experience.

For more information on financial aid options for international students, consider visiting Study in Canada.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

Regardless of your funding sources, effective budgeting is crucial. Consider the following tips:

  • Estimate Expenses: Account for tuition, books, supplies, housing, food, transportation, and personal expenses.

  • Track Spending: Use budgeting tools or apps to monitor your expenses and adjust as needed.

  • Plan for Emergencies: Set aside a portion of your budget for unexpected costs.

If you need assistance with budgeting or exploring financial aid options, please contact ULI. We are here to support you in achieving your educational goals.
